Hi all,
I’m trying to install Gridcoin on my Pi3 to earn some of that sweet, sweet virtual cash. I follow the instructions for a Debian install through the Gridcoin website using the command
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gridcoin/gridcoin-stable
However, when I type that in the terminal I get the answer “sudo: add-apt-repository: command not found”.
What stupid thing am I doing that’s not letting it work? I presume Gridcoin is possible on a pibe running Raspbian? Yes, I know i’m not going to get rich!!
Many Thanks in advance
Brendon
Hi, that’s cool but at the very end of this page he mentions being able to run an installer to cut out 99% of this work. Why can’t I run the sudo add-apt?
Cheers
From that link, it would appear that’s not a valid Raspbian command. :
I’ve looked into the launchpad method too but I’m unable to run the
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gridcoin/gridcoin-stable
I get this error
sudo: add-apt-repository: command not found
This is on a Raspberry Pi 3 running Raspbian.

You will need to flash your SD card with Ubuntu for the launchpad to work I think, I never used it myself.
