Enviroweather devices stopped being able to connect after upgrade from wpa2 to wpa3

Hi,
I long overdue upgraded (software openwrt) and switched my WiFi router from WPA 2 to WPA 3. Now now of my 3 enviroweather devices can connect. I switched back to WPA2 it did not help. I went back through the setup, it sees the wifi, but as soon as it goes live red flashing light and in thonny I see the failed to connect to wireless network error.

My other wireless devices iphone, laptop etc… work fine.

Any ideas ?

I created a new just for the weather devices WPA2 network off my router and that works fine I have set all my 3 devices to use it. But should WPA3 work, or did I just mess something up ?
