I’ve been looking for a good frame for the 13.3" inky impressions. I have a 3d printer, but it’s not quite big enough to print one in place, so it would need to be in pieces and assembled, somehow, and I want to use it in portrait orientation, which is not how the only ones I’ve seen are orientated.

(Side note: Same for the older 7" and 5" 7-color display. I want a portrait orientation for those, too!)

Pimoroni just sent out an email for the sale on their Inky Impressions and it had the attached image, which is likely exactly what I’m looking for (can’t see the back, but still).

Where did this frame come from? Where can I get it? Are there any other portrait orientation frame options?

This bezel is 3D printed - there’s a link to the Printables page where you can download the files in this Learn Guide: [Displaying Comics on Inky Impression](https://learn.pimoroni.com/article/comics-on-inky-impression#adding-a-3d-printed-frame)

There is a 13.3" version but we did print it all in one part on our big printer, so it might need some modification if you want to split it into smaller parts :)

Did you see this one: [Inky Impression Pimoroni 13.3＂ Frame by Philip Schaffer | Download free STL model | Printables.com](https://www.printables.com/model/1357882-inky-impression-pimoroni-133-frame)? This should also work in portrait-mode and is built from smaller parts. You might have to design your own back with suitable holes for hanging. Or ask the maker if he would be so kind to provide that.

You know, I did see this one, but I don’t have the hardware to construct it (yet), and for some reason I thought that the holder was attached to the frame, making it landscape-only. Not sure why I never checked the stls. Thanks!

Sadly, this one’s too big for my printer. If the other one doesn’t work for me, I’ll try to modify this one to get it to work. Thanks!

Sorry, my fault. I did not check and just assumed it would be small enough because there were many parts. I would still ask the maker, since he already has a design for connecting the left and right part and it should be easy for him to split the left/right parts and add his connectors.

Another option would be to do the cut with your slicer. There are options to generate connectors for the parts. Maybe this is already good enough. I never tried this myself, but it is on my list of things to try.
