# Mote Complete Kit connection to USB

I bought the Mote Complete Kit (Host + 4 Sticks + Cables) and programmed it via python under Windows and it works well.

I tried to connect it directly to a USB charger to work but it only shows the default blinking lights and not what I programmed it to do. Is it possible to connect it directly to a USB charger and not to a Pi or PC?

… I suspect that what you mean by ‘blinking lights’ is the initialisation sequence, i.e each stick flashing once?

either way, I am not sure what you mean that ‘what I have programmed it to do’ as there is no provision for uploading code to the ATMEL host. At least not without writing a new firmware treating it like an Arduino.
