# My Pointless Wallpaper

I created this project off the back of a previous idea to crowdfund a monitor by offering each backer a slice of my desktop- forever. I didn’t feel right doing that, thought, and I didn’t expect it would gain much traction! Much less the thousands of people I’d need to actually fill a wallpaper.

So I changed the product up to a community-driven desktop wallpaper. It’s a simple tile-based setup that uses a Python script to build the wallpaper from a collection of user-submitted tiles. A good analogy is - “Digital Quilting”.
