Hi, I am new to pi, so while i do not think i have done anything stupid, i do not exclude the possibility! i have done anything stupid it is a possibility!

i am trying to install pi os onto the nvme base, i

i get as far as checking that the base unit is recognized, ls /dev/nvem0 takes me to the directory as far as i can see, but when i select the only option on the pi imager software on the pi’s accessory menu it says can not open storage device /dev/nvme0n1. I have no idea what to try next or how to know if the board is faulty.

any ideas appreciated.
