Hi all, thanks in anticipation.

Is it possible to connect as one bundle these three items?

I can understand connecting the Pi zero to the DAC, or to the display but I really would like all three connected and working as one unit.

Any help would be welcomed.

Thanks.

try using a black hat hacker or solder a stacking header to the phat doc and then the display on top.

The documentation for the 2.8" display on the Adafruit shows the pinout. You should be able to see what pins they may share and if that is an issue.

[2.8" Display pinout](https://cdn-learn.adafruit.com/downloads/pdf/adafruit-pitft-28-inch-resistive-touchscreen-display-raspberry-pi.pdf)

Snip:
“This design uses the hardware SPI pins (SCK, MOSI, MISO, CE0, CE1) as well as GPIO #25 and #24. All
other GPIO are unused. Since we had a tiny bit of space, there’s 4 spots for optional slim tactile switches
wired to four GPIOs, that you can use if you want to make a basic user interface. For example, you can
use one as a power on/off button.
We bring out GPIO #23, #22, #21, and #18 to the four switch locations!

I think those (optional) GPIO broken out for the switches are for the original PiTFT… the new one uses BCM 17, 22, 23 and 27. As such it is a better fit since there will be no overlap with the pins claimed by the pHAT DAC.

AFAICT the asking price is the same, so there’s probably no reason to go for the 26-way version, but I guess if you were happy losing 2 out of 4 buttons then both would work.

Here’s the pHAT DAC pinout for reference:

Thanks for the replys guys, pleased to say that the phat dac is working on the test that comes up after instal, but, how do I play the mp3 files that I have copied to the Pi Zero music folder.

If this is a stupid question, apologies, I am very new to Pi…

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Mike.
