Pi Zero W Openbox Syntax Error

I purchased a Starter kit with an sd card,

On booting,

  • rainbow screen shows,
  • a few lines show briefly, one saying can’t create directory or something
  • then rapberry top left
  • welcome to pixel
  • then black screen
  • mouse appears
  • dialog box saying

Openbox Syntax Error

One or more XML syntax errors were found while parsing the Openbox configuration files. See stdout for more information. The last error seen was in file /home/pi/.config/openbox/lxde-pi-rc.xml line 1, with message: Document is empty.

Can I get an idea how to reset that config file or proceed please.

I would reimage the card - though I suspect the card itself might be defective. If so, drop us a line by email and we’ll replace it.
