PIM482 Backlight on but No Display - PIM482 Headphone Amp for Raspberry Pi

Looking for support to troubleshoot PIM482. It was previously working, now i’m getting only the backlight and no screen. Looking for help how troubleshoot to determine if the screen is functional and if it qualifies for RMA

purchased from PiShop.Ca on order 250483, Jan 25, 2025, (PIM482).

If you did not change anything on software side, then a hardware problem with the display seems the best guess.

For troubleshooting: try to run this example: st7789-python/examples/image.py at main · pimoroni/st7789-python · GitHub. There is a note in that file about the backlight pin number, you will have to change it for the Pirate-Audio board. There is also an example image of the correct size in the examples directory.

Thanks for feedback . I believe something is wrong since the USBODE is not working with it. I went through the troubleshooting steps and can’t get an image loading with the image.py script

I think you did everything you can do. Regarding warranty, this depends on Canada legal rules. In Germany, the rules might differ so I cannot say anything about that. You should contact your shop and ask for an RMA, maybe linking to this thread to show that you did solid troubleshooting. Good luck!
