I run a Mac Mini M4 as a mini-server at home. This means it is on 24/7 and ticking away.

I wanted a way to monitor what it’s up to with a small little display. I got one of the early pre-release Presto devices and I have used it for a few projects in the past, but this one was right up it’s street.

This uses the USB port as a serial port to get the information from a micro-server python script running on the mac to show lots of detail.

I will let my Github Readme do the talking through…

Very nice. I have something similar: [GitHub - bablokb/cp-sysmon: Plug&Play Systemmonitor · GitHub](https://github.com/bablokb/cp-sysmon)

It doesn’t have such a nice UI, since it is much simpler than your solution, but it runs on almost any MCU with a suitable display. Data collection uses the the python `psutil` module, making it platform independent. Otherwise the architecture is identical: collect data on the host, send it using serial and let the MCU do the display work.

Very nice. I have a mac mini m4 so I’ll hook it up to a Presto to try it out once I’ve finished up with a Presto project I’m working on. Thanks for sharing your project.
