Did you, install those fonts?
sudo pip3 install fonts
sudo pip3 install font-roboto
Yes I have and anything else I coulð think of including fonts-roboto

Are you running Bookworm?
And if yes, in a virtual environment?
I’m running a lot and I mean a lot of enviro code on Pi based setups. Nothing running Bookworm though. They are mostly Pi Zero’s running older versions of Raspberry Pi OS. I set them up a while back, they run headless, and I don’t update those older version of Pi OS. No need to IMHO, they just work as intended so I leave them alone.
