Is it possible that your Joystick is not connected properly? At first it was only recognizing one direction for me, then I flipped the connectors and it worked. Also, I’m using Pi 4 if that matters.

I guess it’s not the connector then. TBH I would be happy to use RetroPie if it would support Raspberry Pi 4 :)

I have the exact same problem as djib, with a fresh installation of lakka (2.3.2) on a Pi 3.
I followed the instructions and double checked everything multiple time, but I get the same warnings with the dtc command and controls do not work. And yes, it works with retropie so it’s not a connection issue.
Just a report.
Everything had been working fine, then some weird behaviour started showing. Every time I booted, I had to bind some of the buttons again, as they wouldn’t work. I would have to plug a Dualshock 4 with an USB cable, bind, and then the buttons worked fine. This deteriorated further, and now even a controller on USB won’t work. I’m going to reinstall everything.
It doesn’t look the above issue is linked to the Picade hardware at all.
