Automation HAT and sinking outputs

Hi folks
I’m using the excellent Autmation Hat for my big project. Now i’m going to use the sinking outputs to control som lights. But how many A/mah can i run to the internal ground ?? All current via the load will go to ground via the sinking outputs right ? Must be a limit there as well…

I believe the outputs can sink up to 500mA each with a total of 2.5A across the whole darlington array. The ground return path will have a theoretical limit, but I suspect the 2.5A max across the whole array is less than that.
