Badger2350?

Has anybody seen the Badger2350 yet? Here is a video of it, at least the package…: x.com

Wow, wonder how Pimoroni got to make the official badge for that. They have a Git repo for it here, but there’s not too much extra information. The URL on the fron of the pack (pimoroni.com/github2350) doesn’t seem to be live yet either. It sounds like it really won’t be too different to the RP2040 version.

I’ve seen some pretty cool conference badges posted on Hackaday. And conversed with Phil Howard @gadgetoid about them, wondering if Pimoroni would ever make one. This is nice step in that direction. I want more though, if you know what I mean.

What else would you want to see? A bigger or tricolour screen could be very cool, but I know those rapidly get quite expensive.

LiPo charging could be helpful, but I think that can cause issues with NiMh batteries. Thinking about it, I hope there’s a battery pack in those Github swag bags…

Tricolor displays update much slower, so I would be happy with the existing display. More important would be the integration of the power and wakeup circuitry from the Badger2040W into the Badger2350. One of the biggest problems of the existing Badger2040 is the lack of time-based wakeup.

I guess I’m more of a game badge than name badge kind of guy. I don’t mean to knock it, it’s just not up my alley so to speak. If I was still working, and doing my yearly training pilgrimage, I’d have one already.
