I read another article that basically said there was no way via software to turn them off (though I think they were discussing the other lipo shim). Was maybe hoping someone came up with a hardware mod or something to kill all that light. It’s really killing my mojo.

Your looking at a hardware mode to turn it off. A small dab of Silicon sealant should dim it or kill it, depending on what color you use.
