pHAT Four Letter Individual Brighness

Hi Everyone,

I’m Max, a little bit n00b with electronics, and I have a question regarding the pHAT Four Letter. I would like to know if it’s possible to set a specific brightness for each letter.
The source code made me reach this dead end : the set_brightness method of the HT16K33 class. I guess the brightness value is general and doesn’t offer the possibility to set it for a specific digit. But I prefer to ask :)

Correct, the Holtek LED controller chip can only dim the display as a whole through 16 levels, not individual LEDs. The datasheet describes this as “very versatile”.
