Question DRV 8834, Nema 17 stepper and Arduino Uno?

Question: Can a DRV 8834 be used to run a Nema 17 stepper motor with programming and input from an Arduino Uno? It’s for a low torque 1RPM Astrotracker, mechanically balanced tracker so very low load. Would like to run off a 6 volt lead acid or gel battery too for transportability. Any advice would be a great help.

The DRV 8834 is meant for regular (2 wire) motors, not stepper motors. I don’t think it will work with a stepper motor?
