Hi Pimoroni

All Iāll say is, you donāt want to be delaying your Xmas basket (especially while the sale is on).
Iām assuming itās this - Pi5 1GB ram.
Which ironically I learned about on The Register, then came back here to check and find it has quietly appeared in the new items list without much other fanfare.
It is not. Thatās a Raspberry Pi product.
Fair enuff - it doesnāt say anywhere that the teased product is a Pimoroni one rather than a Raspberry Pi one though (unless Iāve missed something here).
Not sure that a 1GB Pi5 makes up for the inevitable (and understandable) price rises on the higher memory ones due to the memory price rises across the board, but thatās another debate entirely.
Thanks Guys
Yes Memory prices are rocketting due to all the AI stuff!
I dont think a 1G PI 5 is a big new product but maybe they just cant pull it together to get āXā out the door today !
Haha, Iām glad to see someone else posted as Iāve been wondering the whole time. I guess this is testament to how cool their products are!
I hope itās not just the Pi 5 with 1GB RAM (times are bleak with memory prices if thatās supposed to be exciting) but maybe Raspberry Pi told companies they would make a ābigā announcement and Pimoroni passed it on as such.
Hoping for some cool Pimoroni goodies instead though!
Thereās 7 hours left in the day. Weāll get there
Maybe it is this: Blinky 2350 (Badgeware)
Thatās the newest of the new as I post this. I have to say that the name of another new product sounds like someone is very frustrated with it. Iāll leave that as an exercise for the reader, though.
Anyone checked again yet?
Very nice, three different displays and finally the updates to the Badger and Tufty!
My current Tufty I rate as one of my all time best purchases, and now itās even better. =)
Getting the Badge version takes it up another top notch. Iām thinking Iāll have to wait to get that from a re-seller though? The built in battery complicates things shipping wise for me. Iām on the other side of the big pond. This isnāt a complaint, it is what it is. Anything with a LIPO battery in it canāt go by Air. Just something to keep in mind. ;)
Well, I guess we did the ābig product revealā collectively ourselves! Unless it happened out there on āthe socialsā.
We ran out of time to do the announcement yesterday, but at least were able to put the products up on our store for those keen-eyed like yourselves.
Are you sure thatās correct. We shipped 4k custom Tuftyās for that Github event the other month, and no way did that go by sea in 2 days. Now whether the cost was reasonable for a regular customer is another matterā¦
Hopefully shipping Badgeware will be easier than shipping LiPo batteries on their own, as products that have LiPos built in are subject to less stringent shipping restrictions :)
I may be wrong, I actually hope I am wrong. I know in the past if I added a stand along LIPO to an order it Iād get a message saying it was restricted based on the destination. Something to that effect anyway. But to be honest I havenāt tried adding anything with a LIPO to an order in quite a while.
I was able to preorder the Tufty2350 Badgeware without any warnings / messages etc.
@ZodiusInfuser: the current docs of the badgeware section āwe love specs, you love specsā tell me that you are using
Real-time Clock
PCF85086A Real Time Clock with Alarm
<10 minutes drift per year
Is this a typo and you rather mean the venerable PCF85063A? Just asking, since the PCF85086A is not known anywhere.
Thanks for spotting this. You are correct that the RTC is the PCF85063A. Iāll get the website updated.
Good to know. This will make it easier to add CircuitPython support.
