Enviro indoor - constant white light

Hi All,

I’ve got two of the enviro indoor boards, which I think are brilliant. it’s interesting to look at all the data, albeit I don’t do anything with it at the moment.

however, one of the boards, more frequently I find it with a solid white led, which it has been for a period of time. when I reset the board, it appears to go away, but the logs don’t really appear to give much in the way of info.

you can see from the above, that it shuts down at 02:45 in the morning, that might have been when the light came on. I saw this at 10:59 where I clicked the reset button.

any idea’s? does this happen with anyone else with the enviro indoor?

thanks

Interesting… the troubled Enviro loses its time settings at the 02:45 mark, just after shutting down. So… did the unit lost power in some way?

Hi @Mad_Monk, thanks for the reply. I don’t think so, when I find the device, it’s got a solid white led on. which I believe is on since the issue. when I press on the reset button it kicks it back into life, but the clock is not set.

its weird, it happens with both of my boards, but significantly more with one of them.

Thanks

James

hi @Jimdowding

Curious, what release (os) versions are you running for the 2 Enviro? Are both boards running the same program, and sending to the same site? And how long does each board "last’ before you need to reset/reboot them? [just trying to determine if memory is exhausted, thereby causing the possible ‘freezing’ of the unit(s)]

Cheers,
Mad_Monk

I have the same thing thought its an issue of my configuration but I have the same issue on.

Enviro indoor, enviro outdoor

How can I determine if the memory is exhausted, and how can I minimise this?

I tried using the latest firmware with the default settings. One process is publishing over MQTT, and the other is writing directly to an InfluxDB. Both somehow got stuck with a white LED and aren’t waking up anymore. It seems they’re stuck.
