Enviro pHAT analog input question

Could one of the Enviro pHAT’s analog inputs be used for a microphone to record speech? Or to encode as part of video from a Pi camera?

I suppose it’s possible. But what’s the signal from a microphone, millivolts? The enviro phat inputs are 0 to 3.3V, so millivolts from the microphone might get lost in the noise of the circuit. If the speaking was (say 10 millivolts, maximum) then 10/3300 millivolts is 0.33% maximum of the full signal. You could record that to a file as raw values, but then you’d need to process it somehow into sound.

Thank you for pointing that out. I will probably go with a USB Mic.
