HDMI Resolution

We are looking at your products, which look very impressive & original. We have a few questions to help us understand the product better & fund which item would suit us best.

Our plan is to run a RasberryPI device on our network via Wifi/Ethernet cable, then plugging into a 55inch LCD via a HDMI cable.

We would like to support a 2048 resolution on the screen & run a wifi keyboard/mouse set up about 5-8 meters away.

Which if any device would fit best ?

Ahoy,

By 2048 resolution, do you mean vertical pixels? Either way, the absolute maximum resolution that the Raspberry Pi can support is 2560x1600, which is defined here as HDMI Mode 77: http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Video_mode_options

Depending on what you want to display, you’re probably going to get quite poor performance at that sort of resolution though. What are you trying to achieve?

Hi

Thanks for the information. Is this the case for all Raspberry PI units ?

we are looking at display a web based page with names and numbers, nothing flashy just clear data for people to see on a 50inch TV

Thanks
