Inky Impression 13.3" with a microcontroller?

I currently am using an Inky Frame 7.3 for an open/closed sign for a retail store (with hours and updates). I’d love to update this to the bigger 13.3 screen… but I don’t want to also go up to running a full Raspberry Pi. I’d love to control this from something like the Pimoroni Pico Plus 2 W.

Or even better, an Inky Frame version of this. Is something like that in the works?

I am using all of my Inky-Impressions with Pico/Pico-compatible MCUs. You either need cables or an adapter. I have my own (GitHub - bablokb/pcb-pico-pi-base: An Interface PCB to use Pi-Hats with a Pi-Pico(w)), but you can also buy commercial versions. Adafruit currently has one and I remember that also the Pi-Hut sold them.

Regarding software you are on your own though, unless you are using CircuitPython.

Yes, Inky Frames with the new Spectra 6 displays in the works :) They’re still in early stages of development currently though.
