PI 5 NVME Base - Issues with dtparam=pciex1_gen=3

I bought the NMVe Base and 250GB drive kit.

I have

  • RPi 5 8GB
  • RPi Active Cooler
  • RPi Power supply (27W)
  • Pimoroni NVMe base + 250 GB NVMe drive kit

I’m booting from the NVMe Drive.

The dmesg log is filled with PCIe errors, this does not change depending on the Gen1/2/3 setting. I’m running Gen1 but this does not help.

The ribbon cable is seated correctly and nothing seems to help.

Is it possible to buy a replacement ribbon cable to see if that helps?? I don’t know what else to try and this point and i’m close to giving up on the NVMe base and going back to SD card,
