Can anyone confirm the speaker size on the picade? Are they 3 inch?

It looks fine - be aware that the Picade amp won’t be able to make the most of it though! However you could easily put a different amp in the cabinet - such as: https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/adafruit-stereo-20w-class-d-audio-amplifier-max9744 but you’d need to provide another power supply!

It’s just good quality wire. We buy it in 100m reels from Farnell I think! Since you only need a short amount we can pop some in the post if you want?

How would you control the picade volume using the buttons if you were using an alternate amp to the picade pcb (i.e adafruit 20w or pi-ampdigi+) as the volume buttons are terminated into the picade pcb but the speaker would be terminated on the separate amp.

The Picade amp has built in volume up/down support. So you’d need another amp that has the same!
