Is it possible to get more detailed audio specs about the DAC on the PicadeX?

What is the output impedance?
Is it 3 Watts into 4Ω or 8Ω?

So I would say its 3 watts into 4 ohms? You need to know what the DAC is to be 100% certain. I don’t see that info anywhere though?

Thanks. I got out the microscope looking for a familiar chip on the board, but no luck. There IS a chip that is similar to the AKK BBR chip markings on the Adafruit breakout (It’s AKK BET on the PicadeX), so I think that’s a step in the right direction.

Appreciate the help.

Going by the Picade product page, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/picade it used that same speaker I linked to above. Which suggests to me that a 4 ohm speaker is Ok? As long as its rated for 3W or more.
@gadgetoid can likely tell what DAC was used.

True, and that aligns with the datasheet on the MAX98357A.

2.5 W @ 1% THD with 4Ω load (3.2W @ 10% THD)
1.4 W @ 1% THD with 8Ω (1.8W @ 10% THD).
