Actuaslly i think i know whats going on. Go here and look at the picture of how he has his dotstrat wired to the Xhat
He has them wired to the button 7 button 8 pins, which explains why they sort of work with the deafult plasma. Button 7 and button 8 go to GPIO 15 and 14. He should have them wired to the plasma connector on the Picade x.
