Tufty2040 - Auto Pwr On

Hello,

Is there a way to Autopower on the Tufty2040 when a power supply is connected?

I am putting the tufty in a case and leaving a big hole in the side to access the pwr button isn’t that elegant. I have the 3x AAA battery in the back of the case which has a switch on it so would love to just use that as the way to switch it on and off

The answer is no, even with some hardware-hacking this won’t work. The reason is that the power-supply is controlled by a regulator with enable-pin which in turn is controlled by a flip-flop. So there is no static “on” or “off”, you indeed need an edge pulse.
