Unicorn HAT jumper cables

Hi I’m trying to link up my unicorn HAT using jumper cables on pins 2, 6 and 12. However when I do that and run a program to turn on all the lights only the lights (0,1), (0,2), (0,3) and (0,4) comes on. If I attach it as a normal HAT it all works fine but I want access to the other pins. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I’m pretty sure the board needs to be fed both 5v and 3v3, I’ll check… but try hooking up pin 1 as well and see how that goes.

actually, I just checked 5v only is fine, but you need to source ground from pin 9 instead of pin 6!

Thanks for your help RogueM. Doesn’t seem to fix the problem though. No idea what I’m doing wrong. I’ve attached other hats to the pins they use with no issues.
