Using NVME 1Tb base with moOde

Hi Guys, this is my first post here as I’m having issues getting my NVME base with 1Tb to be recognised as the data storage for my moOde system.

I’ve been working with Pi OS over a number of installations, PiHole, Volumio, Proxy server etc.

I’ve used Volumio for a number of years but recently decided to upgrade the system to new hardware Pi 5 8Gb with Pimoroni NVME base and Dac Pro+ hat running moOde on Trixie.

I want the OS on a small SDCard with the 1Tb as data storage only, this is to isolate the 500+Gb of audio files from any potential issues when updating the OS. Bitter experience with Volumio has lead me to this choice.

So to the problem:

The hardware is all running well on a std Trixie install on an SDCard with the 1Tb drive as data only. I’ve copied all my audio from 2 usb SSDs, all fine so far…

I’ve created a new SDCard with moOde on Trixie and that boots up quite happily, BUT, moOde doesn’t recognise the NVME drive. I’ve tried checking the fstab file, but to no avail. The nvme is there and it has a UUID entry but moOde says it’s not an ext4 drive (Oh yes it is!).

Maybe I need an fstab tutorial.

Anyone have any ideas, which don’t involve putting moOde on the NVME drive?
