Pi5 with Nvme base

Hi Im new to Pi and is trying to set up a system for boating.
Got a Pi5 with a Nvme base 500ssd card
Got booting from the ssd card since the sd card is removed and also checked with the ls /dev/nvme0 is also OK
downloaded Openplotter and useing Rpi imager to extract and install to ssd but in the menu “choose storage” nothing shows NO ssd card the screen is empty nothing to select SO Im lost

Are you using RPI imager on the Pi OS install on the NVME drive? I don’t think you can burn an OS to the NVME drive if you’ve booted the machine up from the NVME drive. What you’d need to do is boot Pi OS from the microSD card, and using that run RPI imager to burn Openplotter onto the NVME drive.
