I am looking in to upgrading the Lithium battery in a battery-powered light bulb. The current battery is connected to the PCB using JST-PH 2 wire connector.
I’ve got my hands on a higher capacity battery (similar to https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/18650-lithium-cell) which do not have JST soldered to it.
Any recommendations/guides to how best to connect JST to a cell?
Get a 18650 battery holder and attach the JST-2 header to that. Do not try to solder wires to the 18650 directly. Are you sure you know what you’re doing with Lithium batteries? Because if not they can ignite.
JST-2 headers will most likely need a crimper to attach them to wires.
