Regarding the Pimoroni Pico LiPo Power SHIM
If power is plugged into the Pico, will the Shim indicate it is charging the battery even when the battery level is “full” (4.2)?
Suppling +5V via the Pico’s USB connector will trigger an automatic charging cycle. If the battery is fully charged it shouldn’t stay on very long.
VBUS is what supplies the charging circuit.

There is some current sensing going on too. It’s protected against over charging so no harm will become of the battery.
Yes, I now see that it is working properly. When the battery voltage gets high enough, it stops charging. It just had to get higher than I had expected.
