Dotstar strandtest and strip colour order

what is the colour data order of these LEDs? Flexible RGB LED Strip (DotStar/APA102/SK9822 compatible) – Pimoroni

the Dotstar strandtest sketch suggests different ones have different orders, default is BRG.

im building a large version of this project (3D Printed War Games DEFCON sign - YouTube) with 4 pixels per number and 10 in the top, total 30 pixels with a 5v trinket

im struggling to get the strandtest running and im trying to figure out whats wrong exactly. ive tried both BRG ad BGR but id like to know which is correct

im an arduino dunce so please keep that in mind if you are explaining!

Usually it goes r, g, b, all the blinky stuff I have is that way.
(r, g, b), (255, 0, 0) would be red.
Try (255, 0, 0) and see what color you get.
Then (0, 255, 0) and (0, 0, 255)

I think most of the LED strip we stock is GRB colour order (all the WS2812 strip definitely is, but I’m not 100% sure about about the APA102s).
