In the list of features on the Adafruit Feather M4 Express, we see that it has I2S input and output.
In the new product announcement, Lady Ada mentions that I2S was a late addition to the board.
But, if you look at the pin-outs there is no sign of any clearly labled I2S pins.
I2C, SPI, Analogue, etc are all clearly labled but not a sign of I2S… I’m looking into this board for a possible multi-chip sound processing application and I need that I2S more than anything else.
Can anyone help me track down the elusive pins?
I wasn’t prepared for the pinout to be as elusive as you made it sound- but it’s missing from the main pinout documentation page! D’oh.
I found this:
On this page: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-i2s-stereo-decoder-uda1334a/circuitpython-wiring-test
Which seems to document the Feather M4 i2s pinout.
Fan, Fan, Fantastisch!
Thanks… that’s got me pointed in the right direction.
Now if I can just find I2S input as well as output, I’ll be a very happy bunny.
You’re welcome. I’ve given Adafruit a heads up that their docs are missing i2s details.
