How to manually wire Pan-Tilt HAT to Raspi 4

Hi there!

I want to manually wire the Pan-Tilt HAT to my RASPI (it’s part of a bigger setup, so just pluging it in does not work).

Can someone please share some info on which ports to connect.

Thanks!

hello, scroll down the page to find the pan-tilt

When you get here, Raspberry Pi GPIO Pinout go to manufacturer and select Pimoroni and it will reduce the clutter. ;)

@dliebich Don’t forget to wire up all the grounds marked with the black horseshoe blob.
They are all wired together on the Pi, but that’s not how it ends up on a Hat or pHat. They get connected together when the Hat is “plugged into” the Pi.

If you need access to other GPIO pins there are proto hats like this,
Adafruit Perma-Proto HAT for Pi Mini Kit – Pimoroni
or this
ProtoZero – Pimoroni
that you can stack between the Pi and Pan Tilt Hat. You just use a stacking header. I’ve done it many times.

Thanks to all of you. So, just to be clear, I need you wire all ports? Or just those chilled in yellow?

I’m still a bit confused.

Wire everything that’s called out in the pin diagram, so for the Pan-Tilt Hat:

that’s pins 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 20, 25, 30, 34, 36 and 39.
