How would I get a bunch of components soldered (in London)?

Hello,

does anybody know a ‘soldering service’ or a person who could solder a bunch of components for us? We’re building about 12 sensor boxes for this project https://opendeved.net/programmes/ilce-in-tanzania/ with this:

We have all the components (more or less) but assembly means we need to put headers onto 12 Raspberry Pi Picos, need to put headers 5 * 12 sensors (likely with sockets, so we can reuse). We also need to solder some ufl connctors onto Adafruit LoRa boards.

I reckon it would take about 1 hour per box to assemble. So overall, perhaps 2 days of work. We’re absolutely happy to pay. It would need to be a person ideally in Greater London or at least near London, so that we don’t lose time sending the components by mail.

Do you know anybody? Or can you recommend a outfit that could do this? I’m not even sure what kind of business to look for…

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but now might be the time to learn to solder. It’s a very valuable skill when tinkering around with stuff like this.

Just practice on something first. Then when you feel confident, have a go at your project.

Hi @alphanumeric - no offense taken :) I can solder, and am making the prototype. :) However… the above is about doing a small production run, with about two days worth of soldering (including the ufl/smt), and do not think I can really sustain that easily :)
