Hyperpixel 4 and Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - Landscape Orientation

Hey Wizards,

Hope you are all well and safe. I have scoured the internet to find an proper answer for the Hyperpixel 4 Touch screen to work in landscape mode on my raspberry pi 4, model b and just cannot find an accurate answer.

I tried all the lcd_rotate scripts , reading a couple of the other threads on this same issue and nothing works.

What am i doing wrong? I currently have potrait mode and touch works. How do i get the screen to rotate into landscape?

Any help would be appreciated. God bless!

Have you tried what is mentioned here?

Hey mate

yes tried everything on that page. no luck.

reading this not sure if it means there is no fix for this issue

I don’t own a Hyperpixel, just so you know. It’s on my wish list. Won’t be buying the square though.
It looks like its a Pi 4 issue, due to changes made by the Pi Foundation in how it displays its screen. It’s a big change from the Pi 3B+ GPU wise with dual screen support etc. Near as I can tell from what I read. Its above my skill level that’s for sure. Wish I could be more help. :(

no stress my man. I am a noob at all this also haha but tried best what i could figure out. might end up returning the screen and going for a cheapy one form aliexpress. sad

I have two of the Pi Foundation 7 inch touch screens. I like them, my only complaint would be I that wish they had a higher screen resolution. They do look nice though. One of mine is in the SmartiPi 2 case with a Pi 4B.

They used to sell it here, looks like there is a newer version.
