Hyperpixel 4", pi zero, rasbian, kodi running Youtube

When I run kodi, the screen is fully utilized. When I play some videos and youtube videos under Kodi, some of the videos are do not fill the entire screen due to difference in resolution of the video in comparison to the resolution of the hyperpixel. Typically, this is ok and the video should have a black boarder around the pixel that are not used in the video. However, the hypepixel hardware/driver does NOT have a black boarder around the video. Instead the video is place on top of the rasbian desktop.

Have you seen this and is there a fix?

Yeah, I’ve seen this happen on HyperPixel screens before. It’s usually a scaling or overscan issue in Kodi or the Raspbian display settings. Adjusting the Kodi video calibration or enabling overscan might help fix the black border problem.
