Hi,
I am using the Pimorini DRV8830 Motor driver. It has 4 different addresses from 0x60 to 0x63, I’ve tried soldering all different combinations to get a different address and only the default address shows up(0x60). I’ve been using the I2C detect code to validate this.
You mentioned soldering, but have you tried cutting the links in the address pads?
The shop page says 0x60, 0x61, 0x63 and 0x64. And as @MikeB_50 said, you don’t have to solder, you have to cut the traces. One is to add +1 to the address, the other jumper adds +3. The jumper in the middle has to be soldered, but that one is about the current limit.
So try to remove all solder you added and then cut the trace between the pads.
