Hi folks! I just bought a Pi 4 and an inkyWHAT epaper screen and have been trying to play one of my animations through it; an .mp4 file. Does anyone have any tips on how I could go about it? I can’t open a .mp4 as an image and I’m a bit stuck!
Thanks so much!! Ben
I don’t think thats doable on that type of display. E-ink is meant more for static images, the refresh rate is way to slow to do animations.
Hi! Thanks for replying. I saw it done on YouTube and I’m fine with a low refresh rate I’m just not sure how to go about it.
Ok, that I don’t know, I don’t own an inky.
Does the Inky use PIL to display the images? If yes you need to look at how PIP might do it.
i dont think so. i think sequencing still images to diplay in a slideshow will work better; any suggestions?
Ops, sorry, that should have been “PIL” not “PIP”.
