I’ve been a long term fan of Velleman, and I was quite taken with this 3D printer, especially now that it is half the original price. However, the lack of a heated bed, shows that its design is now quite dated.
The manufacturer’s description of a “direct-drive extruder” is inconsistent with the industry use of the term, which refers to an integrated extruder and head. By contrast, the Vertex product clearly has a “Bowden tube” implementation.
