Oled type displays and HDMI output too?

Hi just wondering is it possible to have a alphanumeric type display connected to a Rpberry Pi and have a HDMI monitor connected as well ?
I am thinking on the lines of having instructions on the alphanumeric display ?

Depends what you mean by Alphanumeric, but any display that’s compatible with the Pi and doesn’t steal the GPU-backed framebuffer can be used in conjunction with HDMI. To list a few:






I’m guessing Display-o-Tron or the Adafruit LCD/Keypad might be your best bet for multiple lines of text.

For what its worth I can display scrolling text on my Sense Hat’s LED matrix, and use the HDMI as normal.
