I got my Explorer HAT Pro last week and built a small remote control “car”.

Album

Parts:

  • Raspberry Pi Model A+ with Coupé Royale Pibow
  • Explorer HAT Pro
  • 5V Voltage regulator
  • Pololu Ball Caster (3/4 inch)
  • Micro Metal Gearmotor Bracket Pair (extended)
  • Micro Metal Gearmotor (95:1, if I remember correctly)
  • Pololu Wheel 60x8mm Pair (maybe a 32x7mm would look better)
  • 2 x 9V battery (wired in parallel)
  • Wifi dongle
  • Some jumper cables
