As a non-python programmer I need to know the SPI pins used. I figured out the switch and lights fairly easily but cannot get the SPI interface to talk to the display.
It uses the same pins as the other display packs with exception of the RGB LED.
IMHO, it should have its own pinout diagram.
There is also a partial schematic.
Many thanks. The circuit pointed out the problem - the backlight was not enabled.
Nice, now you can have some fun. I really like this display, nice and big physically, compared to the other display packs anyway. And a nice resolution. It gets tricky on a Pico as the bigger the display resolution the more memory that gets sucked up by the display buffer.
Just curious as to what you have it plugged into, Pico, Pico 2 etc?
I am using the device as a remote terminal with a display that can be seen from a distance. I normally use the Waveshare 3.5" touch screen but needed something smaller. The only improvement that could be made is the addition of a fifth button - possibly between the A and B buttons - to allowing up/down/left/right/action operation.
I will be using this device again.
