Pico Lipo - Adding a power switch?

Hi,

Is there a way to power on the pico lipo board without using the onboard latching power toggle? I’d like to put my project in an enclosure, meaning that onboard switch won’t be accessible.

I tried connecting EN > VSYS but that only works to force the board to power on when USB is connected, it doesn’t cause the board to power on from the lipo battery.

I’m probably missing something obvious, complete beginner here so this is all very new to me but it seems like it would be a common requirement to put the board in a case with an external power switch.

I don’t think so. I have seen many boards from various makers that are perfect for breadboarding, but not for a more “production-type” setup.

Depending on your soldering skills, you could solder wires to the button.

Thank you, I thought I was just being stupid

In that case I’ll use a standard pico with some AA batteries instead for now.

The Lipo Amigo Pro has a provision to add a remote on off button.
