Can anyone tell me whether the Pimoroni IO Expander support PWM mic? The description alludes to output only but in theory it should work as an input as well. Thanks!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a PWM mic, did you mean PDM?
At any rate I really doubt this thing would have the sampling rate you’d need for audio, and the I2C bus speed is probably too slow for it as well.

You are absolutely correct! I meant PDM mic.
In that case the answer is definitely no, PDM and PWM aren’t the same, and the IO Expander doesn’t have a PDM interface. I’m not sure the Pi has a PDM interface, I think it is mostly done via I2S or USB.
