Pimoroni MLX90640 Thermal Camera Breakout wiring

Hi,
I am currently playing with the themal camera (which is a lot of fun.
I have some questions about mounting - currently I’ve got it plugged into a breakout garden, which works perfectly, but rather limits the mounting options, I want to be able to wire it (ideally without soldering on connectors so I can still use the breakout garden in the future.

Looking at the board, as well as the through board connector holes it also has a white connector block (which is not shown on the store pictures) - is this connected to the pins? If so what type of connector/cable do I need for it? If there is a cable to female in connectors that would be awesome ;)

Are there any other options for temporary connections which are secure but removable?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Could you post some images of the breakout please? The shop images show both sides of the breakout, so I cannot imagine that it has a connector block that is not visible.

What you could do is to buy one of the breakout garden adapters, e.g. PIM547, plug in the camera and attach wires between that adapter and your host. These adapters have sockets to plug them into the host, but you don’t have to do that.

Here you go :)

That’s a QWICC connector, which uses these cables,

“white connector block”?! 🤔️🙃️

@hel: maybe you should update the shop images and add a note about using the Stemma/Qt

‘white’ - I know - I know -realised that when I took the photo. A similar block on another board was white… I swear… ;)

Star - thank you @alphanumeric - 80% of the time the biggest problem is I don’t know what things I called - 'I need a connectors from a thingy to you know the other thingy…

Yes, both colors exist. No problem.
