Is it possible to upgrade the inky frames to use the pico 2 w? Via desolder and soldering on new pico? or was there other hardware changes needed too for the newer version?
De-soldering such a large component (40 joints) is extremely difficult. You would probably need to remove the display from the PCB, then heat up the PCB and then de-solder. With the right equipment and experience, it should be doable.
