Questions about Plasma 2350

Hi I have some questions about the Plasma 2350 which I am hoping someone can answer.

Can one board run two LED strips simultaneously, so they do the exact same thing? So let’s say you plug the connectors of two separate LED strips into the board, will both LED strips do the same thing at the same time, or do you need two separate boards for that (but in that case, how do you sync them?).

Also I need to run two different LED devices, a strip and a ring. If those two things are daisy chained to one another, will the board “see” them as one continuous LED array?

Thanks!

This may help, it’s on the 2040 but there isn’t much difference to the 2350.

The short answer is you can’t run two strips unless they are the both same type / model of led.
You can daisy chain, you just end up with the combined num_leds.

Brilliant - thank you!

These things can be a lot of fun =)

I have a 2350 that is setup as desktop lighting. It will do patterns, for showing off ;) , but it’s mostly just set to white. I can adjust the brightness on the fly with an Encoder Wheel breakout. The strip I used is 144 leds per meter
Flexible RGB LED Strip (aka NeoPixel, WS2812, SK6812)
I have it on as I type this, it’s 5:30 AM lol, and it’s the only light on other than my monitors.

I also have a couple of 2040 sticks setup to run Christmas led strings.
Stuff like this for window decorations.
RGB LED Star Wire (10m / 66 stars)
And these on some 3 ft tall artificial Christmas trees.
