Raspberry Pi 5 – 8 green LED flashes, no display, SD and bootloader tested

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a critical issue with my Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB). Here’s what happened: The Pi was working fine with Raspberry Pi OS before I powered it down. After turning it off and unplugging the power, I powered it back on and now it does not boot. The green LED flashes 8 times repeatedly is on. I tested with multiple SD cards, all freshly flashed with the latest Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit) via the latest Raspberry Pi Imager. I also recovered the bootloader successfully using the official Pi Imager tool. The Pi is powered by a reliable 5V USB-C source. HDMI shows no display, even the Pi detection screen does not appear. No peripherals or GPIO connections are attached, except previously it was connected to an Arduino (but powered off at the time). What I’ve ruled out: SD card corruption (tested multiple cards) Bootloader issues (recovered successfully) Power supply instability (verified) The Pi now does not reach the OS boot stage or the standard Pi detection screen. The 8 green flashes continue regardless of SD card presence. Has anyone encountered the same behavior on Raspberry Pi 5? Any advice on possible fixes or next steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

8 short flashes is an SDRAM failure.

If so, I’d say it got electronically damaged somehow.
